Led the creative approach and execution for A’ja Wilson’s very first signature shoe launch with Nike. The big idea was to create a world where A’ja’s aura shined bright—to depict her in the most authentic way possible, letting her infectious personality come through, while also showcasing her as an elite, phenomenal athlete. This was special becuase Nike women’s basketall hadn’t released a signature shoe for a black female basketball athlete since 2001, which was a Sheryl Swoopes shoe. Long overdue, and I’m glad to have been a part of this incredible moment for A’ja. At this point in time, she’s the best female basketball player in the world, and it’s not close.
